Brief description:

Radio Ambulante is a fascinating podcast distributed by NPR (US National Public Radio) with stories about Latin America and its people.

Why I recommend this:

Not being there doesn’t need you cannot keep up-to-date with what’s going on in Latin America. This is how groups of people who live away from their countries of birth keep up with issues and culture close to their hearts. Some of you are going to embark on an online experience of the Year Abroad at Rosario University in Colombia, and perhaps you have never travelled through Latin America, so this will be a good way to learn more about the continent.

Editor's Note: We love this radio initiative, also because you can create your own 'LISTENING CLUB' in cooperation with Radio Ambulante: go to their website and find out more about the CLUBES DE ESCUCHA!

Perhaps you'd like to start your own culture radio podcast project ? Below you see half of the team of Radio Ambulante in Colombia. Click on the photo to read an interview by Radio Ambulante founder Carolina Guerrera about the origin of the idea for this radio podcast and the podcast's story.
